Stop 1 – Aperitivo in Brera
Begin three minutes from the door, among the cafe tables of Piazza del Carmine and Via Brera. A Campari spritz and a plate of olives here is the classic warm-up: unhurried, elegant, deeply Milanese. This is where locals start the evening.
Stop 2 – Rooftops over the Galleria
Walk about eighteen minutes to Piazza del Duomo. Above the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and around the square sit some of the city's most glamorous rooftop bars, looking straight onto the cathedral's marble spires. Book a table for the golden hour – the view is the drink.
Stop 3 – Sunset on the Duomo Terraces
Finish on the roof of the Duomo itself, or on a nearby panoramic terrace, as the sky goes pink behind the pinnacles. It is the most romantic ten minutes in Milan, and a three-minute stroll from stop two.
